Oliver (Bichon Frise) is doing beautifully. He has plenty of personality
and is adapting here in Mathews. He spent New Year’s Eve with his sister
Emma. I get to keep her next week for 8 days. By that time, I will not
want to give her back to Julie. It was a real pleasure to meet such
genuinely good people as you and Joe. You have a truly professional and
friendly business. You made buying Oliver a real treat. Thank you so much.

Greetings from
Exton,
PA
(our townhouse), and Honeybrook, PA (our country home). If you remember our
7 year old Westie was staying with my brother. Kelsey finally came home for
good in Sept. Well, our sweet Westie girl, Coco, we got from you, is just
the SWEETEST, fun, loving, smart puppy. Kelsey loves her and they even hold
the same stuffed toy and run together with it in their mouths side by side.
We all have so much fun! We’re done housebreaking. Teeth are all in. She
was spayed in Sept. Can stay with me all day and behaves all on her own.
Kelsey helps.
Coco
mimics what Kelsey does. She can sit, stay, down, leave it, and come for a
treat. She is very smart. Hope you are doing well and enjoying life in
Virginia.

Jessica, Fizzgig (Scottie) is doing great! He and our Westie Molly are
getting along very well. As you can see, having two terriers hold still for
a Christmas photo is a bit of a challenge. Best wishes for a happy 2008!

Hi
Jessica!
I
wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying this special boy of mine. Brodie
is the nicest Scottie pup I’ve ever had. He has the best temperament. My
Vet offered me doggy daycare for him – free for the first 10 days. Everyone
there fell in love with him right away, and it has been really good for
him. He loves everyone – people and animals. They would tell me how hard
he would play – long after all the other dogs wanted to stop. He would come
home very tired, and just to be by himself for a bit before he ate dinner.
Daycare helped with the potty training, and also with his being in the
crate. I can tell that the Vet handles him a lot. He had a stomach upset a
few weeks ago, and when Mark came in the room, Brodie threw himself at him
and practically climbed up to give him kisses. He’s not afraid to go to
either the Vet or the groomer, which is such a big plus. He has been such a
delight for me.
Shortly after I got him, I was called into the office while on vacation to
be told that out department was being laid off. Our work was transferred to
Tulsa,
OK. My last day there was September 7th. I had been with the
company 32 ½ years – so this has been a life altering event. I’ve been
enjoying the time off, but after the holidays will need to get very serious
about job hunting. Brodie likes being home with me, but I do take him to
daycare once in a while. He gets really excited about taking walks and “go
in the car”.
I’m
sending his Santa pictures, as well as a couple from our first snow fall
this week. I’d forgotten how much Scotties love the snow – especially a
healthy 9 month old boy.
After I get my new job, I’ll contact you and we can start talking about a
brother or sister for Brodie. I’d still like to get a Wheaten Scottie.
Right now, through, it’s not possible.
I
hope everything is going well for you. We both wish you a very Merry
Christmas and Happy New Year.

Dear
Jessica and Joe,
We
wanted to send you some recent pictures of “your babies” that we have
adopted…They are such a WONDERFUL addition to our family…They have grown
like weeds, and have each developed their own little personalities…they are
so funny together, and love each other soooo much. Scout, the Westie, is
quite the gregarious type…always getting into “things” as you can see with
the club soda bottle in his mouth. Husband Bruce says that if we didn’t
keep an eye on him, we would probably find a stash pile of things from the
pantry in some obscure corner of the house. He though, is quite the loving
one too…always looking for the extra kisses and hugs. Lily, my dear little
Scottie, is so adorable, and loving, and such a cutie…I remember you saying
when we got them, that her personality would be “Hey, you talking to me?”
Well, that is it to the tee. We call her the “30 second delay lady…” you
speak to her, and she responds about ½ minute later. They have handled the
Christmas decorations beautifully – have only eaten the arms off one
ornament – I count myself lucky.
We
will get more pictures as we take them. Looked at your website – and both
puppies look just like their dad – how cute is that?
Have
the best of holidays, and Merry Christmas – thanks again for such wonderful
puppies – we look forward to many, many long years of love enjoyment.

Dear
Jessica and Joe,
Forgive me for not getting in touch with you sooner. I have been meaning to
fill you in on the visit that “Maggie” and I had with her new vet.
She
went in last Friday morning and was the hit of the office! Everyone loved
her and she loved everyone right back. (She even made friends with a rather
old black lab in the waiting room).
Dr.
Campbell (from
Glen
Animal Hospital in Watkins Glen, NY) was very impressed with how well she
had been taken care of prior to being adopted. He was also impressed at how
socialized she was and how much good information you gave me. Ultimately he
said that she was perfect in all respects and when I told him that we had
gone to Virginia to get her he said that “she was worth the trip”.
Maggie is an absolute delight and just loves her new family – all the kids
and other dogs keep her very busy, but very happy. You were right – she
keeps us laughing. She and our son’s eight month old lab, “Kiya” are
becoming very best of friends (we keep an eye on their “play” as Maggie
thinks that she is the same size as Kiya and vice versa).
Enclosed you will find a few pictures taken on Halloween of the two of them
– Kiya is sharing her bone with Maggie. I missed the shot of Kiya with her
front paw over Maggie’s body – priceless!
Thank you for the way that you prepared Maggie for our family! We just
love her so much and she seems to love us too. You may just see us again
someday to add to the brood!
Have
a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas. (I’m sure that ours will
be eventful with 6 kids, 7 grandkids and all the dogs)!
Sincerely,
Natalie M – Corning, NY
Dear
Fox Creek,
Here
is a picture of our boys. Knight we got at Fox Creek is a good little boy.
He turned one year old in November. Both Bichons are great. Knight has
such a wonderful temperament; you did a great job with him. He even likes
his “hair combed”! He plays and loves to give “kisses”. He sleeps all
night and we are glad we found you. Truly we are blessed to have found you.
Merry
Christmas,

Thank you so much. Churchill (Scottie) is just wonderful and has become a
part of our family. Winston, our Westie, we bought from you three years
ago, just loves him and they play all the time. Quincy, our Golden has
begun to bring a toy to Churchill to play with. It is wonderful to watch.
Churchill and Winston will be going to Vermont soon to see our son at
college and enjoy the walks in the woods. Thank you for two very special
dogs.

Hello
Jessica and Joe,
Bingley did very well on the trip home. He settled right down and after the
first few dips in the road even those didn’t cause him to stir. He had no
car sickness or anything. He ate his dinner ferociously and Sunday he ate
very well three times.
He
is very attached to us already. He follows each of us everywhere when
allowed out of “his” space. His is a lot more active than I thought he
would be and naps often. He cries a lot when you shut him in his crate.
Now that we have a Bingley space, we don’t shut the door as often and he
goes in and out at will when shut in his space. His meals are served in
there and the bowls removed when he is to be in the crate for a couple of
hours while I am out or busy.
Bingley’s
first Vet visit with us went well. Doctor Shiller says he was bred very
well and is right on target and very healthy. His teeth are aligned
perfectly and in good shape. His chewing ability is terrific. My fingers
and toes can vouch for that.
He
is so trusting and alert. He makes us smile even when he is sleeping. We
have to be very careful, however. He is stronger than we thought and able
to run quite well and we will have to get him a harness and retractable
leash for outside much sooner than we anticipated, like now! Leave it to a
puppy to show you quickly that you HAVE NOT puppy-proofed your house.
Whew! I am exhausted, but happily so.
We
have indeed not done everything right, but I have asked Bill and Gillian to
read the information we have so we can all be on the same page when dealing
with Bingley. They have it harder as they are gone all day and miss him so
much; so when he is so excited to see them, they contribute inadvertently to
making him more excited and therefore much more difficult to handle.
Bingley is loved, that’s for sure! He is quite intelligent so will be able
to deal with each of the three very different personalities in the house.
Here
is a copy of our receipt for his Vet visit. Thank you so much for our Mr.
Bingley of Williamsburg. He is loved deeply and gives equally in return.
He has the personality I really hoped he would have but is quite well
adjusted and conditions to sudden and strange noises after hearing them only
once. The next time does not even bother him. Thank goodness. We live in
an extremely high traffic area compared to where Fox Creek Kennels is
located. He has shown me with the long ride home and adjusting to his
surroundings and the noises that he has the temperament to be a very good
dog.
Best
regards,
Sharen, Bill, Gillian – Williamsburg, VA
Jessica and Joe,
I
just wanted to let you know that we did decide on the name Maisy for our
Westie. She is adjusting well. Our kids think she is wonderful. She is
full of energy and loves to run in our yard and chase the kids. The cats
are also adjusting to her. She is also giving them a workout. She is
eating well and her training is going wonderfully. We couldn’t have asked
for a better addition to our family. Thanks so much.

Dear
Jessica,
Just
a few lines to give you an update on our Dugan. He has caught two live
birds, two mice, one rat (we live with a creek at the end of our property)
and I am sure the chipmunks and squirrels are next. (He also had a dead
bird in his mouth). The last time I took him to the Vet (about a month
ago), he was 14 lbs, 6 oz, but I am sure he is close to 16 lbs now. He is a
very good eater and extremely smart. He has learned the routine fairly
quick and annoys Kelsey to death, but knows his boundaries with her. I know
she loves him and even licks him (a rare thing for her) and has helped her
with her fears of thunder and lightning. He is still a clown and makes us
laugh.
We
are so grateful you kept “him” for us from the beginning because he was
meant for us. Everyone wants to borrow him to show their hairdresser the
“frosting” they want as he is absolutely gorgeous. Inside and out!
I
will keep you posted and again a million thanks to God for helping me find
you.

Jessica and Joe at Fox Creek,
What
a pleasure it was to purchase our Cairn terrier from such a great breeder.
You have a beautiful home and what a wonderful place you have. Driving to
you I was so anxious as to where I was going and if you would be as good in
person as you were when I first inquired about your puppies. I had really
wanted to make sure that I was buying my puppy from a breeder this time and
not from some guy off the side of the road. (I made that mistake once and
lost my five month old puppy to a life threatening illness. Try to find the
“guy” when you have questions)! I can honestly say that now that I look
back at my previous puppy you are who I should have dealt with first. You
give so much info with your puppies, and Jessica, like you said to me when I
first contacted you “I am a professional breeder, I am not a backyard for
profit only breeder”. I can honestly say that more people should learn how
to do things the “right” way. The Fox Creek way. I’m sure that there would
be more happy people with their puppies. I will tell everyone about you and
your gorgeous home and how well you take care of your “babies.”
Thank
you,

Hi
Jessica & Joe,
Enclosed is a photo of Mia. She just turned one year on September 30,

loving and affectionate as well as independent. She also loves riding in
the car.
On
October 9th she will graduate from Jody’s Obedience School. She
has been an excellent student. You can be very proud of her.
Thank
you for such a wonderful Westie. She is a real credit to your kennels.

Dear
Joe and Jessica,
Enclosed is clearance on “T.J.’s” health check. He was a real ham at the
vets…just showing off and loving everybody. Great on harness and leash.
The
first half hour of our ride home, he cried constantly, but never got sick.
Then he slept for most of the rest of the way.
All I
do is laugh with this little man. He had his first neighborhood walk today
and he loved meeting a lot of different dogs. He is very friendly and
usually approaches first. Of course the adults love him. He gives everyone
a major kiss!
I
love him, his sweet personality and his energy. I’ll start puppy
socialization class next Saturday, hopefully.
Thanks for all your tips. I’ll let you know about him once in a while.
Take
care,
Sincerely,

Dear
Jessica and Joe,
Enclosed you will find a picture of our Westie, Daisy, that we adopted from
you almost a year ago this week. She has been a great fit with our family.
She loves her little doggy life here at the beach on Long Island. We took
her for a run on the beach yesterday – boy, can she run. And she played in
the water. The kids can never get enough of her; they love her very much,
and are always very good to her. She loves playing with them.

you again,

How
very pleased we are that we found you. Pui, our little Bichon, is too sweet
and how cute. She is a super addition to our family and so very
kind-hearted and loving. We thank you very much for allowing us to have
her. We are also glad that you are so strict about not shipping your
puppies. You were all too helpful in telling us how to fly to you and how
to bring Pui back on the flight with us. All your hints for traveling were
very helpful as she traveled like a true champ. After seeing you and how
you care for your dogs and puppies we will get our future puppy(s) from
you. We will send anyone that wants a quality puppy to you.

Fox
Creek,
I was
so disappointed to find that you moved to a warmer climate. I got my first
Cairn, Banks, from you ten years ago. He is just the greatest dog I ever
had. I wanted another but I didn’t want to travel to your new place. I
found a breeder closer and bought a puppy from them. What a disaster that
was. It definitely was not a Fox Creek puppy and they certainly did not
present themselves like you do. Against my better judgment I still
purchased their puppy. After a day with this puppy and the ferocious
attacks I endured from this 16 week old demon and finding out they had two
prior run-ins with the animal control agency for cruelty and unsanitary
conditions and a bunch of other sad things, I returned the puppy. I learned
a lesson that day, and I realized that if you want quality, no distance is
too far. I drove to your new home. I thought your other place was
beautiful. This one is just as gorgeous. My new addition was so worth the
drive and Banks likes the Fox Creek puppy much better. I have named him
Dollar. In the future I will make the trip.
Fondly,

Dear
Jessica and Joe,
Max
and Winnie are settling in quite nicely in their new home. They both went
for their exam and boosters yesterday and received a clean bill of health.
Winnie is still getting car sick, but I think she has actually bonded with
me a little more as I held her in the car ride home on the first day when we
picked them up. She has been my little lap dog ever since!
Max
is doing really well with the puppy pad. I don’t think he had made one
mistake yet. Winnie on the other hand, has made several mistakes. She is
getting better though. No mistakes this morning.
Thanks again for the wonderful puppies. They have already made themselves
part of the family and I can’t imagine life without them.

Jessica & Joe,
My
husband and I purchased our Cairn Terrier from you in December and I wanted
to tell you how fabulous she is and how grateful we are to have a breeder
that is so attentive to breeding for temperament. Here is my brag:
Our 9
month old little girl’s name is Zayda (“Z”) and she is a laugh riot. She
loves to play, play, play – if we’re done playing she will play by herself.
(She rolls balls and other toys down two flights of steps. When they reach
the bottom, she carries them back up to do it again)!
She’s extremely smart and has mastered the basics with very little effort
on our part: sit, down, come, speak, shake (wet dog shake, not a paw). We
know “roll over” is only a few months away.
She
is fabulous with everyone including little kids and dogs. Right now, she’s
submissive; she goes into a play box 20 feet from people, dogs, children;
looking for a playmate. It’s adorable, but makes for very long walks.
She’s very big on giving kids smooches – her favorite kids are toddlers.
She’s very gentle with them and they are very welcome to pet her.
Z’s
an active dog. When she was 12 weeks old, the only way to tire her out was
very long walks – I mean three to four miles and running her up and down the
Philadelphia Museum of Art steps (a la the Rocky workout)! She’s
acclimating to city life and now prefers her exercise at puppy playgroup or
playing with the big dogs at the dog park. She’s quite comfortable putting
the big dogs in their place. A neighbor’s Doberman has recently learned
that she is NOT a squeaky toy. She’s part weenie and part ruffian in one
little package.
We’re overcoming our challenges:
·
I
think she’s actually starting to like being brushed;
·
The
word “no” no longer results in a terrier tantrum (running around at high
speeds);
·
We
think she’s starting to figure out that speaker wire is not a chewie;
·
And
the greatest challenge: she was nocturnal! She’d be up all night playing,
chewing rawhides, and watching outside the windows. She seems to be
sleeping much better now.
We
love her dearly (probably too much).
Anyway, we just wanted to say thank you. We feel very lucky to own such a
gift.
Sincerely,
Sandy

Dear
Jessica and Joe,
Well,
we have had our “Gertie” for almost six weeks. What a delight she is! We
have owned three Scotties over the past fifty years and she is by far the
most loving puppy. Everyone in our family is crazy about her and she never
meets a stranger.
The
training is going well and she tries very hard to always be a good girl. I
am going to take her to special pet training as soon as we have finished
with all the vaccinations.
We
have a screened porch on one end of our high deck. She thinks it is her
special tree house and loves to spend time watching the birds and
squirrels. I can lie on the couch, on the porch, with her on my lap and we
take an afternoon nap together. My husband says I have already spoiled her,
but you just can’t help it. By the way, she has a special car seat between
Jack and I that she sits in when we go out. She loves to ride in the car!
I
want to thank you for a wonderful dog. We look forward to many years of
happiness with her.

Hi
Jess,
The
puppy did well on the ride to PA. I found my method of sleeping on the
floor next to the puppy the first night still works. The 2nd
night I stay part of the night, and the 3rd night until it falls
asleep.
I’ve
never had a “flea free” pup before. THANK YOU! Among many other bonuses!
What a pleasure to trim nails so easily. Our six year old Westie, Kelsey
likes the “nameless” pup. Will keep you posted.

Andy
is doing wonderful. He learned his name in about 24 hours. He still has
the occasional accident with potty training, but that’s more our fault than
his – not quick enough taking him out.
He

grooming and did well. He and our golden retriever are best buddies now,
and all the other neighborhood dogs like him too.
Andy
has a wonderful disposition and we all love him very much. Thank you so
much for letting us have him. We will send updates and photos periodically.
